About us
We started with one simple idea: cook together.
Kinship Kitchen began in 2020 to help socially isolated kinship carers connect with peers and create positive shared experiences with their families.

Our purpose
Connection you can taste.
Weekly trauma-informed social cooking groups provide safe space for connection, learning and growth. Activities are designed to support mental health, promote secure attachments and reduce the risk of placement breakdown.
Since 2024, the organisation has expanded to work with other groups affected by social isolation or food poverty through regular cooking sessions and food donations.
Alongside this community work, the catering company provides a complementary income stream and creates training, mentorship and flexible paid opportunities.
What guides us
Warmth with structure. Choice without judgement.
Relationships first
Trust grows through consistency, listening and shared experience.
Culturally inclusive
Food, language and traditions should reflect the people at the table.
Growth in reach
Small, meaningful steps build confidence and independence.
Enterprise for good
Commercial work strengthens rather than distracts from the mission.
